UNLV had their national tournament hopes ended swiftly by #3 Colorado State University on Sunday morning. Although the game remained close til the midpoint (3-2), the well rested CSU team wore down the Rebels who had just played 10 hours prior. The final was 9-4, not indicative of the actual game. One that got heated half-way through resulting in ejections for both sides. By the end, UNLV had just 8 players remaining, 5 on the ice and 3 on the bench.

Northern Arizona and Colorado State University are the two survivors of the West Regional and will move on to compete at Nationals. Good luck to them.

UNLV wins 4-3 over Colorado University and advances to the second round in the ACHA West Regional. They will play #3 CSU tomorrow. The win marks the first regional win for UNLV in team history, as well as the first time the team has beat a top 5 opponent.
